Skating School – Let’s get started !

The Port Washington Skating Center Skating School encourages new skaters to get started with skating. It’s an activity you can have fun with your whole life !  We  have something for everyone – from pre-schoolers to adult skaters..  Our new skaters learn to skate and make new friends.  Returning skaters continue to have fun while developing new skills.    Preschoolers join classes that blend play with learning.   Adults can learn to skate  —  keep up with your kids or skate with your  friends. !

Tot Skating

WE LOVE TOTS !

Almost as much as you.  Our skating school staff is eager to help get your little ones going and so are we.

Take advantage of our FREE offer by clicking below.  We will schedule a free trial lesson for your preschooler.  We want  your  first time skater to experience some success on ice before you commit to a class.

I want my child to try a FREE Skating Lesson

We have found that new tots often do better if they skate with a friend, sibling, or relative.

You can form your own class to take advantage of added scheduling opportunities.   Set up your class any weekday Monday-Friday between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM – only 2 skaters are needed to get started. Take advantage of the quiet afternoon time … and skate for free with your tot after the lesson has ended.

Description: Tot Skating classes classes are specifically for children ages 3-4. They offer a gentle introduction to skating, using toys and props as teaching aids.  The initial class requires only a 4-week commitment, after successful completion of a 4 week session we move to 8 week “Snowplow Sam” classes.

Description: What’s more fun than getting together with  friends or family  in an activity you all enjoy ?  Not too many things.  Skating is an activity that draws people together.  It’s is perfect for partnering up and having fun.  Take charge and form your own class with people you know. You’ll benefit from smaller class size, greater schedule flexibility, and coordinated transportation to and from the rink.
Students forming  Private Groups should register together whenever possible. I was one of the mothers who participated in the ice skating day with the Roslyn Trinity Co-Op School. I thought your staff did a spectacular job supervising and instructing the kids on the ice. It really was such a great and safe first experience for my 3-year old son on the ice!!
